The Patriot Act of 2001 was the first time any group involved in the government of the United States thought they had the hundreds of years of wisdom to make huge sweeping changes to the rights of American citizens that also affect citizens all over the world. As laws and for the long term!

Basically it was seldom done because common sense told us that the possibility of abuse or mis-interpretations at the local levels across America may do harm to the livelihood of the citizens that live in those local areas.

Now, if you go onto the You Tube website and type in any number of search terms that have to do with authority, abuses, police power etc. you will come up with thousands of films and such that offer proof that the result many in the past didn’t want to see is what we are now seeing. 

So the question is, how do we get the federal government to understand that some of these laws and changes are not in the best interest of our Democracy or the lives of the People of the United States? Not to mention the clever and evil that have or will use these very laws and changes against our own citizens? Not to mention how the rest of the world, that held our freedoms as glowing examples of how to build a great nation, perceive these sweeping changes!

Just a basic evaluation of the formula, many years ago, pointed toward some form of trouble or breakdown in the future.

Well for many states that future is now and they are in need of income from some source to keep even our basic services running.

Which creates two more huge issues:

1. Looking for the “easy way out” small local governments tried to create more jobs so there would be jobs.

2. The citizens that pay don’t get a fair share of what they pay in are beginning to find out the facts and are getting tired of suffering on top of paying.

One “hidden but most dangerous” effect that is likely to result, and that will have a huge effect of many localities across the nation and to our nation. Is the growth of the “Black Marketing” of products and services across our country. In other words, for the sake of survival (eating and being able to pay for basic services like heat, electricity etc.), millions of people will start cutting their responsibility of paying their fair share of taxes etc. out of the process.

Which, I presume, is all a derivative of things like a drug company that demands $15 (mostly through Medicare “the taxpayer”) for a pill that it costs them .13 cents to make. Or that the powers that be think it is necessary for the public to pay for the coming shortfall in oil company profits that will result from the LONG OVERDUE introduction of electric vehicles.

Ya Know, we might consider re-introducing social responsibility back into the formula, hopefully replacing the section that is now held by predators against the American people and all of Humanity.

Because folks, as we look to Washington D.C. for help. We may realize that they are already tapped out to the banks and now are only paying the interest not yet even the principal.

Have we made ourselves slaves?

Now before we go on, I personally prefer the free-enterprise system. The sad part of it all is that as problems keep arising, the lazier are looking for easy answers such as making laws to control our lives, even pricing of products and services at the lowest level. Is Big Brother coming?

“Anyway, the system breaks, there are 100,000 people, there are 100,000 cherries. One person or small group has 99,999 of the cherries and lets say that 99,000 people have to share or are clamoring for their share of that last cherry.”

To prevent social unrest and to allow the average citizen to have a fair chance at their personal “Pursuit of Happiness”. Our forefathers, and many good people and legislatures along the way, knew that we have to have a fair system of checks and balances that we make into laws and rules for government of our democratic free enterprise system. Maybe even designed to prevent the above cherry situation from happening.

As we look at the governance of our nation it seems that the balance of power has shifted against the society as a whole and it seems that our Government has partnered with some industries , becoming no longer our government but a partner to some institutions, and they may be removing some of those checks and balances for private gain of a few at a cost that will be paid by millions that will receive little if any benefit.

Scary stuff, does that make us slaves?

I have met some of the greatest people in America and some from other nations. From business, politics and  the social sciences.

The world has changed fast, for the better believe it or not. Now that we have a vehicle in which to communicate both instantly and worldwide we have an opportunity to tackle some of the urgent issues that face us as the human race.

At the same time it has created a great deal of havoc, those that used to depend on the facts being kept secret, or those that used to be able to control the facts are having a hard time controlling the information that the public sees. Two areas that point this out is the US Senate that keeps watering down the whistleblower protection laws and the changes that are happening in the banking industry, which at this point we can’t get clear information as to the results of those changes to mankind…Bla…bla….bla…OH Yea, and term limits, have they formed their own private empire?

So

Just a thought:

 I, being a simple man have decided to, so I can comprehend it, boil it down to two basic choices.

DED: DOG EAT DOG or BOM: Brotherhood of Man!

If you are DED, you will manipulate, lie, cheat, steal or in other words, you would do anything you could to see that you would win regardless of the consequences to your fellowman and humankind. Also having no regard for the future generations of our planet.

If you are BOM, you take into consideration all aspects of your actions and the results they are going to have on other people, humankind and our future generations.

For the first time in the history we can bring huge issues to the sunlight and allow great numbers of people to participate in the evaluating those issues a define the necessary steps to deal with those issues or solve those problems.

There are hundreds of millions of people willing to help. But first we must all be honest with ourselves and be either DED or BOM.

The new entrepreneurs?

judge , Mark A. Ciavarella Jr., and a colleague, Michael T. Conahan, appeared in federal court in Scranton, Pa., to plead guilty to wire fraud and income tax fraud for taking more than $2.6 million in kickbacks to send teenagers to two privately run youth detention centers run by PA Child Care and a sister company, Western PA Child Care.

While prosecutors say that Judge Conahan, 56, secured contracts for the two centers to house juvenile offenders, Judge Ciavarella, 58, was the one who carried out the sentencing to keep the centers filled.

   “In my entire career, I’ve never heard of anything remotely approaching this,” said Senior Judge Arthur E. Grim, who was appointed by the State Supreme Court this week to determine what should be done with the estimated 5,000 juveniles who have been sentenced by Judge Ciavarella since the scheme started in 2003. Many of them were first-time offenders and some remain in detention.

Who else are we selling? What group or who will be next?

What does GMO mean? Genetically Modified Organism is the most common usage (though ‘manipulated’ or even ‘mutated’ might also be appropriate!) The acronyms GEO (Genetically Engineered Organism) or simply GM or GE are also used.

Talk about the breaking down of citizens’ spirits! This is huge, every day we open a paper, watch the news or get on the Internet and see waste or abuse of power in the spending of government (taxpayer) funds.

From a citizens standpoint they will wipe out a small business or make a person sell everything they own and be homeless to pay them a few thousand dollars in taxes. Yet at the same time see on the news, or not see yet, how for the sake of profits to some entity or private group. Millions or Billions of dollars spent or forgiven to those private institutions.

These deals etc., worked out by lobby groups, backed by elected government groups then cleverly added to pressing and important bills to force them into law. It’s almost unbelievable; the amount of damage selfishness and the self serving actions of small powerful groups has done to our nation. 

As we open up the governing of our government, lets all hope that some common sense and a sense of social responsibility is instilled because the future of our nation and the coming generations depends on it.

Now, I realize that the banks and bankers want to be as rich as Bill Gates, dah, then why don’t they invent a product or service that really benefits millions of people like Bill Gates and his crew did?

It amazes me that they offer so little in services, other than making billions of dollars when the public is in trouble (from NSF fees, which by the way used to be called overdraft charges, but they made a law to change the name to Non-sufficient Funds so the didn’t have to actually pay the overdraft for you but they could still charge the fee)…

Look at the facts, now you can do more “banking” bill paying etc., with less risk and for much lower cost, at the local Wal-Mart cash center than you can at your local bank! So it’s no wonder that they are in trouble, but that fact that they were allowed to dip into our national treasury to solve there problems should be a concern of every American citizen.

It amazes me, when I read some of the stories coming across the newswires or on the Internet, how far apart say, an average 30 year old computer professional and a 70 year old elected representative is. It’s as if some of those people we elect live in a bubble. And they don’t have a clue (or a fair realistic evaluation) of how much can be done utilizing technology and the voices of millions of people. Most people in the world and in America do care and would be willing to help if they were allowed to! Why does there seem to be a wall between the structured way our government administrates our nation and the voices of the huge majority of its citizens.

Wouldn’t term limits help the Federal Government know what the people want by insuring that new people were elected to public offices regularly? MORE INFO:
